Sentara names Shally Pannikode to its Board of Directors

Pannikode brings 25 years’ experience as a health care technology executive to Sentara, having served previously in roles with industry giants Anthem, Wellstar Health System, and Liberty Mutual.

She is also co-founder and chairwoman of the Freedom Council for the Alliance for Freedom Restoration and Justice, a global non-profit working to end human trafficking, which has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice.

Pannikode’s work has earned numerous peer recognitions, including being chosen in 2022 for a year-long fellowship with Journey to Lead, which features mentoring and coaching by world-renowned women CEOs. She has also been peer-recognized for her advocacy for women in STEM roles.

The Sentara Board of Directors includes a diverse group of business executives and community leaders serving Sentara’s not-for-profit mission.
