Dr. Ronald McKechnie is an experienced cardiologist with Sentara Cardiology Specialists in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach. He provides top quality, patient-focused care for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions of the heart and blood vessels. Dr. McKechnie specializes in complex coronary interventional procedures, peripheral vascular interventions, venous ablation, transesophageal echocardiography, lipid management and loop recorder implantation. He also enjoys teaching medical students and residents at Eastern Virginia Medical School. When he is not caring for his patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, volunteering for medical missions, and outdoor activities including running, fishing, mountain biking and soccer.
